Dr. Joel Juarez-Uribe was mentored during his Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University (#22 in Medical Schools, US News), by Dr. John Willis Hurst. Dr. J. Willis Hurst was the editor of Hurst’s the Heart, one of the most preeminent books on Cardiology, and was also cardiologist to former United States President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Dr. Joel Juarez-Uribe continues to cite Dr. J. Willis Hurst as a major influence in the way he practices medicine and trains his staff.
